The creation of this gallery is a long time coming in two ways. Art since it’s inception has almost always been viewed in person. This has always been out of necessity rather than choice. Even if this is now capable of changing in the modern age, we at the Federal Curator firmly believe that this physical part of art is to be kept and integrated as sufficiently as possible. This was our initial prompt and remains our goal. To bring curated art to people, integrated as seamlessly as if they were there in person.
All of our pieces are curated with a team of specialists looking for more than simply name recognition and placed value. We curate our galleries with as thorough of brush as possible, looking instead to create a gallery that speaks to us,... and hopefully to you too. One of our goals is to create federal indexicality; by curating a 50 state wide gallery that will attempt to stand as a testament to the viability of physical art in the online space.
Along the way we hope you have questions.
To question if you are indeed in a physical gallery. If we have brought in to our gallery instead of simply to our URL.
Question what each piece means, to you, to the gallery as a whole.
Question what is in each room and around each corner, to surprise, to delight.
This type of curation can allow combinations of multiple different artists that usually would never have the opportunity or the time to be gathered in one place. To allow art to speak to each other, and ultimately to you. Whether you spend a minute, or a hour here, we appreciate you coming.
